As you probably know, we will be launching a Kickstarter campaign for the Uvolt Watch on March 29th. Kickstarter is a platform on which people can back projects they believe in, in exchange for the possibility to obtain the announced products at discounted prices. Obviously, crowdfunding is not the only option we had to choose from. Here is why it made the most sense.
The first reason we wanted to crowdfund the Uvolt Watch is because we want everyone to play a part in our mission. Crowdfunding allows us to find the people who want to support us in a concrete way. In order for us to succeed as a business, we need to have a successful campaign. And to run a successful campaign, the support we get from the community is twice as important than the product itself. Our goal is to offer a universal solution that you can adapt to your everyday lifestyle, and we need to prove there is a demand for such a product in order to move on to the next steps.
Kickstarter is a platform where millions of enthusiastic people are ready to take a risk and invest in the future for the greater good. Without these people, creators and innovators would not be able to share their ideas with the world and bring them to life. Another important factor we took into consideration when choosing crowdfunding was the fact that we only need to make the product once in order to promote it. After we raise the funds, it will be much simpler to go into manufacturing and distribution. It is a great way to get the ball rolling.
Running a successful Kickstarter campaign is also the best way to gain credibility and recognition on the global stage. Uvolt is not a watch startup, it is a clean energy startup. We want to bring renewable energy at the heart of simple solutions to common problems. The Uvolt Watch is only the beginning, but if we want to go any further we need people to be aware of our intentions and capability to make things happen.
We hope you will all join us on our journey come March 29th. Thank you for supporting us everyday since the beginning. It’s right now or never!
